We are wonderfully created as “whole” persons with mind, body and spirit. And our health does not exist in isolation from our environment. At Exalta Health we treat the whole person within the context of his/her family and social environment.
Integrated Behavioral Health Care
Caring for the whole person is an important part of the work being done at Exalta Health. Physical Health Care, Mental Health Care and Substance Use Treatment often do not communicate well together. But we know behavioral health and physical health are interconnected.
Exalta Health is bringing it under one roof by having the medical and behavioral health providers work together to provide care to patients at the same location. Evidence supports that with this approach, there are fewer barriers to patients receiving the care they need.
Our Community Partners
Not all behavioral health services provided to Exalta Health patients are provided by our employees. While we use many organizations for referrals for specialized services for anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders, our collaboration with two organizations is essential.
For several years we have contracted with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services to provide a bi-lingual master’s level counselor. This service is available on-site through referral from an Exalta Health provider.
And Family Outreach Center provides access to outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services at their location 1939 Division Ave S, just a couple of blocks north from Exalta Health’s main location.
We believe that we are created as whole beings – mind, body and spirit. Often when our body hurts, so does our spirit. At Exalta Health staff, volunteers and spiritual care providers are available to listen, provide comfort and pray. If you would like to talk to one of our spiritual care providers, please let us know when you come in.
