We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids in hosting their Living With Grief Series. Gilda’s Club is a cancer and grief support community that provides free emotional health support to anyone impacted by cancer or grief.
Gilda’s Club recently received a grant through the county and we have been chosen as the sub-awardee. The funds from this grant will allow Gilda’s Club to expand their outreach and provide this class in Spanish for the first time. The series will be done over a period of three weeks and it focuses on understanding how grief affects you following the death of a person in your life. Each week covers unique information to help attendees on their grief journey.
This series addresses the emotional and mental health needs of individuals navigating the death of someone in their life. The program is grounded in peer-to-peer support and offer coping strategies, emotional validation, and opportunities for reflection and growth.
We are excited to be partnering with Gilda’s Club as we help them serve people from a new community.
